FILE-126
2007-2010
On the 4th of January, 2003, Ismail Makhmudov disappeared on the way home from work in Gudermes Village, Chechnya. According to his neighbors, he was blocked off by several military vehicles before being forced into one of them, an all-gray UAZ with tinted windows. The UAZ had no number plates. Ismail's mother Tamara Makhmudova, a school teacher, repeatedly initiated investigations into the abduction, but these yielded no results. Tamara continues to write to officials nationwide, including the presidential administration of the Russian Federation. Ismail remains missing.
